EARLY LIFE: The wise saying that “some are born great, some achieve greatness while some have greatness thrust on them“ can well be used to qualify CSP (Chief) Fayomi Solomon Adebayo Rtd the current Chairman of FAYOSADE INNOVATIVE SERVICES GROUP, YEWA FOCUS MAGAZINE and FOCUS EVENTS AND RENTALS MASTER. Born on 2nd August, 1963 to the family of Mr. Fayomi Stephen Abiola Akanbi from Ikotun Compound of Madoga in Ipokia Local Government of Ogun State.

EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS ATTENDED: He obtained his first leaving school certificate at the Baptist Day Primary School, Madoga and Local Authority Primary School Ifonyintedo in 1976, Community Secondary Modern School, Ipokia and Iyewa High School, Ajilete for his WASC in 1983. He equally obtained his National and Higher Diplomas in Business Administration and Management from Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun State in 1991 and 1998 respectively. Not resting on his oars, he proceeded to the prestigious University of Ado-Ekiti (UNAD) now Ekiti State University where he bagged his Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) in year 2000. Being a brilliant student, he was the Office Prefect at Community Secondary Modern School Ipokia, Assistant Senior Prefect (ASP) at Iyewa High School Ajilete and Head of Class (HOC) in both ND and HND 1 classes at Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro. Highly respected by his peers, he became the Department President of National Association of Business Administration and Management Students (NABAMS), Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun State Chapter 1997/1998 session, just as he doubled as the National Treasurer.

ENLISTMENT INTO THE NIGERIA POLICE FORCE: His love for the Police led him to be enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on 1st July, 1983 as a recruit and was trained at Police Training School Iperu, Ogun State. Expectedly, he left Police Training School in 1984 and thereafter has served in many Police Commands and Formations which include; Ogun State Police Command at Divisional Police Headquarters Sagamu, State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department (SCIID) Eleweeran Abeokuta, Divisional Police Headquarters Ilaro, Divisional Police Headquarters Sango-Ota, Area Command Headquarters Ilaro, Divisional Police Headquarters Ifo and CP Monitoring Unit State Headquarters Abeokuta. He was at Computer Section Force Headquarters Annex Obalende Lagos. He has also served at the Kwara State Police Command from 1997 to 2000 at Divisional Police Headquarters ‘B’ Division Surulere Ilorin and Admin Registry, State Headquarters Ilorin.

POSTINGS/TRANSFERS IN THE NIGERIA POLICE FORCE: A very hardworking officer, he has a stint at Force Headquarters, Abuja/Lagos, First at Force Public Relations Department Abuja from 15th August 2000 to 15th August 2002, then Force Public Relations Department Annex Ijora Olopa, Lagos from January 2010 to 8th February 2012 and thereafter, Officer in charge Public Complaints Bureau (PCB) FHQ Abuja from 2014 to 2015. His Police career has also took him to other states in Nigeria, like Imo State Police Command at the Divisional Police Headquarters Umuaka, Njaba, from 2004 to 2005. Kaduna State Police Command at State Headquarters Kaduna, Railway Police Command Ebute Meta Lagos from 2012 to 2014 as Railway Divisional Police Officer (RDPO) Apapa Lagos and Railway Divisional Police Officer (RDPO) Agege, Lagos.

CSP Fayomi Adebayo has also been the Officer-in-Charge of Public Complaints Bureau (PCB) SHQ Ikeja Lagos and Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Idimu, Lagos between 2015 to 2018 where he transformed the Idimu Police Station with new structures including building of a Community Hall with the financial and moral supports of members of the community that appreciates his style of Community Policing strategy which was Commissioned by CP Fatai A. Owoseni Rtd the then Commissioner of Police Lagos and CP Olafimihan Adeoye Rtd the Commissioner of Police Osun State Police Commands respectively.

TRAVELLING AROUND THE WORLD: He has travelled far and wide in his Police Career, was with the United Nations (UN) Police on Peace Keeping Operations at United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) from 2008 to 2009, on Stability Police Units Middle Management Course at Center of Excellence for Stability Police Units (CoESPU), Vicenza, Italy in 2007 and on tours of United State of America (USA), United Kingdom (UK), Dominican Republic, Ghana and Republic of Benin.

SERVICE AFTER RETIREMENT: CSP (Chief) FAYOMI Solomon Adebayo retired from the Nigeria Police Force on 1st July, 2018 and was employed on 19th November, 2018 at International Tobacco Company Ilorin, Kwara State as the company SECURITY MANAGER.

 

SOCIAL CLUBS AND ASSOCIATIONS: He is also socially responsible through his activities as a member of many social Clubs which include Worthy Existence Forum of Anago-Ifonyinland, Owode Yewa Recreation Club, Owode and Unity Social Club of Madoga of Ogun State, Nigeria. He was honoured with Chieftancy title of AMONA OBA in his Town by HRH Oba Isaac Adesiyan after his retirement from the Nigeria Police Force.
