Prophet Ogundipe of the CCC Global Genesis secured my release from 10years detention in Kirikiri without committing any crime – Azeez Ibrahim.
Azeez Ibraheem, a local Welder.
According to Nurudeen Adegbenro of Hotnewsnaija.com, how can someone describe the journey of a 37-year-old welder, Azeez Ibraheem, who served over 10 years at Kirikiri Maximum Correctional Centre for a crime he did not commit?
Azeez Ibraheem hailed from Ipokia Local Government, Ogun State but works as a local welder in Lagos.
During an interview with Hotnewsnaija.ng in Ogun State, Ibraheem narrated his ordeal at Maximum Correctional Centre at Kirikiri.
“I was picked in 2010 when some thugs were fighting at Oshodi metropolis. From there, the police officers moved us (together with other persons) to SARS office. At SARS Office, I was shot at the leg and they changed the narrative and said we are armed robbers that used to rob innocent residents around Oshodi. When we were charge for Magistrate Court in Ikeja, the next place is Kirikiri Medium Prison. After two years, I was moved to Maximum Prison.
“In 2015, there was a case of one Azeez Ibahim (Who bears the same name like myself). An Officer came to my prison and called my name and I answered, the prison officers move me to record department. I was told that they are moving me to court in two days.
“On getting to court, the charges were read and I was accused of living in Ikorodu and participated in a robbery event.I argued with them severally that it was a case of wrong identity. I was in court on June 1, 2 and 3, 2015.s I got a lawyer and the case begun. During the hearing, the prosecutor later agreed that the accused only bear the same name with me. And he would produce the real criminal to the court. Mind you, the alleged crime was committed in 2014; while I was still in prison. The case did not have headway until another lawyer to over my case. “He said.
Meanwhile, Azeez described the Prophet Ogundipe as the “humble angel” sent to him by God for his freedom.
Prophet Israel Ogundipe of CCC Genesis Global
“Prophet Israel Oladele Ogundipe is my angel that finally secured my release by employing a competent lawyer for me and facilitated all the necessary processes,” Ibraheem confirmed.
The 37-year-old Welder later urged the government to work on the judicial system as many inmates are waiting endlessly to get judgements from various courts.
However, investigation conducted by yewafocusmagazine.com revealed that Azeez Ibraheem is a son of one late Ibraheem Olugbade, a commercial driver in Lagos who hails from Madoga in Ipokia local government area of Ogun State.
Many people were interviewed at Madoga, among them is one Karimu Olugbade also a commercial driver and businessman popularly called “Dangote”. He testified that Azeez, a very quiet and easy going person, is his brother.
He further stated that the family has been praying for him, as all efforts made on the case did not yeiled any positive result. And that they are very happy for the news of his release, and that God will bless Pastor Israel of CCC Genesis Global that made the release of their brother possible.
