AMOTEKUN CONFIRMS 2 SHOT DEAD BY SUSPECTED KILLER HERDSMEN

AMOTEKUN VEHICLE BURNT BY ARMED HERDSMEN IN ONDO.
A report by Channels TV indicates that some armed herdsmen on Wednesday, February 10, killed a farmer identified as Lanre and a member of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria.
According to the report, both men were reportedly shot dead at Ago Sanusi along Ute Road in Owo local government area after the herdsmen laid an ambush for Amotekun officers in the forest.
A source speaking to the media publication disclosed that the attack took place at about 2:00 am with the suspects fully armed with dangerous weapons, including AK 47 riffles.
The farmer who had earlier been abducted in the area was found dead in the forest. Adetunji Adeleye, the commander of Amotekun in Ondo state while confirming the death of the two men stated that the security network was alerted of the attacks.
Adeleye went on to add that the suspects burnt down an Amotekun owned vehicle parked in the village.
Meanwhile, Oluwatobi Bolashodun of Legit.ng reported further that some herdsmen attacked members of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, popularly known as Amotekun, on a farm at Osi Community in the southwestern state.

The state commander of Amotekun, made the disclosure to journalists in Akure, the state capital.
The herdsmen were said to have attacked the agency officials while the operatives were trying to settle a rift between them and the farmers in the community in Akure north local government area of the state on Wednesday, December 9, 2020.
